Presentation Facilities

 

OVERVIEW

The School of Medicine, together with central university IT and Media Services, support and maintain the presentation facilities around the building with an emphasis on ensuring that facilities are available and ready to use with the minimum of setup and support is close at hand.

MBSB Teaching Rooms and Equipment

Lecture Theatre

The lecture theatre has the facility to record lectures.  This is actioned through the element pages in Galen. On occassions non Galen elements can be captured but this not a routine request. LINK TO LECTURE CAPTURE
Clickers are available at each seat in the lecture theatre.  The software TurningPoint is used to run the clickers.

AV Equipment

  1. AMX touch panel – used to control the AV and lighting
  2. Room resident PC x 2
  3. Single or dual projection available
  4. Sympodium for annotating using a stylus on the main PC
  5. Visualiser
  6. DVD/Bluray player
  7. Laptop connection cable
  8. Microphones for voice reinforcement
  9. Video conference system
  10. Wireless presentation controller with laser pointer
  11. Lecture recording system
  12. Fixed turning point installation with voting cards at each seat

Seminar Rooms 1 and 2
