Work / Life Balance

The School is committed to promoting and implementation a health work-life balance.  This is enshrined in the School’s policy on healthy work / life balance

The University publishes a policy on meetings and core hours.  The timing of a meeting rests with the Chair and the members of that group however as a guide the following types of meetings should be scheduled for core hours:

  • School Council / School Open Fora
  • SSCCs
  • SCALE meetings
  • Teaching Commitee
  • Social events

Staff considering applying for an alteration to hours (flexi-time) or place of work (remote working) should consult the Executive Administrator.
